If you are contemplating a move abroad, follow me as I make that decision, do the necessary research, plan and prepare for a year before I move to a small town near the largest lake in the country of Mexico. This book is based on my experience moving to San Antonio Tlayacapan, by myself in December of 2017. I was a 54-year-old retired school teacher when I made the move that changed my life entirely mind, body and soul. I wake up every morning with a smile on my face and joy in my heart. After arriving I began a journey of self-discovery with no end in sight. This is a book of considerations, for anyone contemplating such a move anywhere abroad. The contents within are specific to Jalisco, MX and the Lake Chapala area because that was my experience. Although, each consideration is a generalization I believe they are the most primary.

Queen has given a concise roadmap for everyone thinking of moving to Mexico, (or elsewhere for that matter). She writes about her very personal journey; from the decision to leave the U. S.,to preparing financially, to even her plans for burial, should she transition (die) away from the U.S. From those hidden fees and paperwork, to finding the perfect condo in Mexico. Her decision to NOT tell her aged mom right away is such a personal story. I thank her for sharing . Queen is like a pioneer, Black woman traveling alone. She bravely steps over roadblocks and has some "WOW" moments. (getting that PERMANENT resident staus). I would say this is a must read for anyone immigrating to another country, esp. If you're a "sistah". Great read, Queen!
